Contemporary art in a modern space.
Stedelijk is a big museum, you gotta either keep moving or expect to burn out your eyeballs way before you’ve seen the whole thing. Just consider yourself forewarned. It’s great, in the Museumplein with the Van Gogh and the Rijks, just so much art packed together, it’s like magic. If you go on a Sunday in June, there’s a lovely outdoor market/food stalls thing set up on the open space between the buildings. Did not seem to be that on a weekday in September though. Lots of restaurants and the like in the neighborhood and easily accessible by public transport or bike.
I would happily go again, I would plan my trip a bit differently.
I’m still trying to figure out how to get the Museumkaart next year.
